Employee’s Health is Increasing Every Weekends
Ranging from construction workers, secretaries, doctors to lawyers to show the vitality of fit, a better mood and less headaches on Friday afternoon until Sunday evening.
Freedom to choose activities and togetherness with the people dearest to factors that affect a person’s health at the weekend period (weekend).
“Even workers with high status even feel healthier and happy weekend,” says Richard Ryan, professor of psychology at the University of Rochester as reported by ScienceDaily, Friday (15/1/2010).
Ryan said that free time is very important and influential on a person’s health. “The period of time to spare at the weekend should really be used because it is actually the basic human psychological needs are closely related to physical health,” said Ryan.
He and his colleagues have conducted a study of 74 people aged 18 to 62 years who worked at least 30 hours in a week.
During 3 weeks, participants are asked to fill out questionnaires describing the events, circumstances and feelings every day as happy, sad, anger, depression, stress and health problems such as digestive disorders, respiratory, and other headaches.
The results show, both men and women were more physically and mentally healthy at the weekend.
“They feel better without thinking about how much money is generated, how many hours spent working, what their profession or how their current berpendidikannya,” said Ryan.
Participants have the weekend claimed that psychological effect is strong enough for the moment, someone free to do unpopular things, and socialize.
“All the factors that can eliminate the stress arising from work,” Ryan said.
The conclusion of the study published in the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology is to get used to fulfill the physical health needs of psychology.
